Huskies get Thumped by Reapers

The Fort St. Huskies travelled to Halifax to face the Reapers in their final preseason meeting of the season and were man handled by the reapers who won the contest 7-2.
Fort St. John won the first game 4-3 in Fort St John with rookie goaltender Tristan Carter in net.
This game saw vertern netminder Reid Arsenault in between the pipes in his first preseason appearance and it was overwhelming for him as he let in 6 goals on 29 shots and boasted a 6.23 goals against average in the 57 1/2 minutes he played.
Tristan Carter played the final 2 1/2 minutes and let in a goal on 6 shots.
The Rookie netminder is trying to get the starting role for the Huskies this season and has a great chance after that last game.
The Reapers Captain Douglas Neveu sure came to play today as he got a goal and 2 assists and 3 other players had 2 points a piece, including Brian Murphy's 2 early goals in the first period.
The Reapers are trying to redeem themselves after last seasons last place performance. The Reapers are currently 2nd in the Memorial Conference with a 3-3 record and lead the league in goals scored with 23 in 6 games played
The Huskies are 1st in the Calder Conference with a 3-3 record and surprisingly only have 14 goals for.
The Huskies take on conference rivals Nashville Thunder next game who are struggling this season and the Reapers take on their rivals the Blenheim Blades who sit bottom of the conference with a game in hand.
