Reapers take 3 game mini series against Kamloops.

The Halifax Reapers won a three game mini series against divisional rivals Kamloops Vipers in which the Reapers gained some much needed ground in the Memorial Conference standings.

The Kamloops Vipers took the victory in the first game with a 6-4 win and then saw the Vipers getting thumped 7-2 the next game. The final game was close as the Repears won 5-4 but saw a 5-2 lead slowly disappearing. The Reapers took two late penalties in the final 5 minutes of that game but were able to hold the Vipers off for the victory.

The overall season series is tied at 3-3 and see each other four more times this season. The Memorial Conference is tight with all teams within 3 points of one another, so each game is a big one as the season slowly winds down.

The Reapers host the Red Deer Bandits next week as the Kamloops Vipers host the Fort St John Huskies..
