Kamloops Vipers are this years UFHL Champions as they defeated the New Orleans Rage 4-1 in six games.

This is the Vipers first championship since joining the league in Season 2 and they were a long shot at even making this years finals but found a way to hold back their opponents.

The Vipers went 8-2 in the playoffs with the only two losses coming against the Rage.

The Vipers new GM Josh Purchase got the game winning goal at the 7:16 mark of the 3rd period  on the power play.

The Vipers were being out played for the first two periods, but came out hard in the third and rallied for 3 goals.

The Rage on the other hand were the favorites to win this series when they took down the defending champs in 7 games and with the aquired players at the trade deadline it was a sure thing. The Rage will spend the next few weeks figuring out what went wrong and fill in those pieces.

The Vipers on the other hand only have to look ahead and hope for a repeat next season.
